HARRY POTTER star DANIEL RADCLIFFE has a secret weapon for his big-screen broomstick flying scenes - specially adapted trousers.
The 17-year-old actor, who plays the boy wizard in the movie series, relies on the padded garment to ensure a comfortable ride on his Nimbus 2000.
He says, “I’ve got a pair of trousers that I think belonged to (muscled male strip troupe) The Chippendales at one point or something because they’ve got Velcro in and you rip them apart to get the harness on (for flying) then stick them back together.”

Actor DANIEL RADCLIFFE does not enjoy being famous and hates the celebrity title.
The 17-year-old Harry Potter star say he often snubs celebrity parties, preferring to concentrate on his acting career.
He says, “(A celebrity) is someone who enjoys being famous for the parties and the glamour.
“The thing I love is the acting, the work. I don’t see myself as a celebrity.”

‘It was the most exhilarating thing I have ever done,’ he says. ‘I did it to shake up people’s perception of me. ‘People tend to think I’m a Peter Pan figure, but I’m definitely not, I promise you.’

Daniel, 17, even admits he can’t bear to watch himself in the early Harry Potter films.

‘I accidentally caught a glimpse of it while changing channels the other day,’ he tells Weekend magazine. ‘I turned it off because I hated the sound of my voice.’

LONDON (Reuters) - Dodging paparazzi and juggling homework with filming are just some of the drawbacks of being a teenaged movie star, the young actors from the Harry Potter film series said.
Daniel Radcliffe has played boy wizard Harry Potter since the start of the Warner Bros. franchise in 2001, and signed up to the part until the series ends with the seventh film, slated for 2010.
“The only things that can be troublesome — there’s a lesser degree of spontaneity in my life … than there would be in other teenagers’,” Radcliffe said of his fame, while stressing that he loved the acting and filming itself.

The face of “Harry Potter,” actor Daniel Radcliffe, said that his first on-screen kiss wasn’t as nerve wracking as appearing naked in London’s West End.
Radcliffe stars in a kissing scene with Katie Leung in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” which opens July 11, The Telegraph reported Monday.
“Kissing Katie was a very comfortable experience especially when compared with being naked on stage and blinding horses, which I am sure Katie will be relieved to know,” he said.
