Russell Brand wants Barbara Windsor to play his grandmother in the big-screen adaptation of his autobiography.

However, he admitted that a makeover would be required to ensure that the actress looked sufficiently old.

: “It has to be Barbara Windsor. I’ve told her and she’s interested. She’s the right age - 71 - but looks a bit too young. So we’ll have to age her!”
